Bush Magic is a tribute to the untamed beauty of the bushland and gum trees surrounding my home in regional NSW. This painting captures a the way the light filters through twisted branches, the rhythm of leaves in the breeze, the hum of unseen life. Layered brushstrokes and drips mimic the textures of bark and tangled undergrowth, while earthy greens and flashes of blue and ochre evoke the colours of the landscape. It’s a work imbued with the magic of the everyday Australian bush.
