Arid is all about soaking in the dry heat and sunbaked stillness of a parched landscape. I worked with fluid acrylics to let the paint pool, stain, and bleed across the canvas—embracing the unpredictable textures that came with it.

That rich, inky blue shape anchors the piece, like a shadow or rockface cutting through the warm, dusty air.

The rest is a mix of soft washes in terracotta, blush, and ochre, with scattered splatters and subtle blooms where pigments settled into the weave of the canvas. It’s loose, textural, and full of those accidental marks that bring a surface to life.

At just 23cm square, this one is small but packed with atmosphere.

The painting is initialed on the front, signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It is framed in American Ash.
